TL;DR

Research Associate (AI): Contributing to the applied-research cycle for educational products with an accent on surveying recent AI techniques, designing experiments, and prototyping capabilities. Focus on turning early-stage ideas into working proof-of-concept code that integrates AI and quantum research into scalable educational features.

Location: Singapore (Hybrid: 2 days in-office, 3 days remote). Remote work is available in locations without company offices.

What you will do

• Scan recent research papers and adapt techniques into functional prototypes.
• Design, implement, and run experiments to validate research hypotheses.
• Deliver clean, runnable proof-of-concept code for engineering teams.
• Integrate validated research into product features and measure real-world impact.
• Collaborate daily with research scientists, ML engineers, and product teams.

Requirements

• 3+ years of applied research or research-engineering experience, ideally in EdTech or applied AI.
• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in Python and PyTorch for production-ready code.
• Solid grasp of experiment design, statistics, and result analysis.
• Experience with version control (GitLab) and experiment tracking (MLflow).
• English proficiency required for all documentation and communication.

Nice to have

• Experience transitioning research prototypes into production environments.
• Publications, preprints, or open-source contributions in AI.
• Exposure to AI-for-education products or quantum computing frameworks.
