What you will do
- Curate manufacturing data in the data lake and build, maintain, monitor, and improve data pipelines.
- Understand factory operations and manufacturing processes to identify data-driven improvement opportunities.
- Define required datasets and acquire data in collaboration with connectivity engineers and stakeholders.
- Prepare and analyze complex data to support understanding of machine and process behavior.
- Develop scalable, reusable, high-performance data frameworks and automate data delivery.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, BI, data science, architecture, and data modeling teams.
Requirements
- Engineering or Computer Science degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 4–8 years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
- Experience building and optimizing data pipelines and data lake architectures.
- Knowledge of Spark, Delta, CDC, NiFi, Kafka, message queuing, stream processing, and scalable data systems.
- Strong SQL and NoSQL skills, including Oracle, Hive, or Spark SQL, plus programming experience in Python, Scala, Java, or C++.
- Experience with Power BI or Tableau, data wrangling, data mining, data transformation, and cross-functional collaboration.
