What you will do

• Own the platform that determines personalized products, offers, and content for Credit Karma members in real time.
• Develop the targeting engine and eligibility logic using data signals such as credit scores and account history.
• Ensure high system reliability and millisecond latency for services that run on every app load.
• Build tools and testing infrastructure to enable product and marketing teams to deploy changes rapidly without app releases.
• Collaborate with data, mobile, and growth teams to integrate new data sources and machine learning patterns.
• Manage the end-to-end flow from data fetching and rule evaluation to final UI assembly.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in backend software development.
• Proficiency in TypeScript, Java, Scala, or other functional languages.
• Strong experience with microservices architecture, messaging patterns, and deployment models.
• Expertise in API design and building robust, extendable client/server contracts.
• Must be based in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Nice to have

• Experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, and container technologies.
• Proficiency in SQL and relational database schema design.
