Senior CloudOps Engineer (GCP)

TL;DR

Senior CloudOps Engineer (GCP): Designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable infrastructure solutions on Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes with an accent on cloud orchestration, observability, and database management. Focus on integrating AIOps practices, optimizing GKE environments, and automating deployment pipelines to increase release velocity.

Location: Hybrid in La Paz, Bolivia (Must work from the office 4 days per week)

What you will do

• Architect, manage, and scale GCP services including GKE, Compute Engine, Cloud Load Balancing, and VPC.
• Design and implement Kubernetes solutions for stateless and stateful services focusing on scalability and performance.
• Implement advanced monitoring and observability using Prometheus, Grafana, and Open Telemetry to develop business-level metrics.
• Manage and scale MongoDB, Redis, and MySQL databases across cloud-native and on-premise environments.
• Integrate AI-driven tooling, MCP servers, and AIOps practices for anomaly detection and automated remediation.
• Develop infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform and Ansible, and manage CI/CD pipelines via Jenkins.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in CloudOps, DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineer roles.
• Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GKE, Compute Engine, VPC, IAM).
• Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes and containerized microservices architecture.
• Proven experience managing production databases (MongoDB, Redis, MySQL) and monitoring stacks.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Must provide authorization to work in Bolivia and a Police Clearance Certificate.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with AWS.
• Certifications such as Google Cloud Professional (Architect/DevOps) or CKAD/CKA.
• Familiarity with service mesh technologies like Istio.
• Experience integrating LLMs or AI agents into CI/CD and observability workflows.
