What you will do

• Defend customer systems and networks against malware, ransomware, phishing, and data breaches.
• Implement and monitor cybersecurity systems and policies to safeguard digital assets.
• Conduct proof-of-concepts (POCs) for new security software and evaluate its integration into the organization.
• Perform penetration testing, threat modeling, and vulnerability assessments for applications and networks.
• Develop automation scripts for threat hunting based on lessons learned from real-world cyber-attacks.
• Perform root cause analysis of security breaches and assist in the creation of security solutions.

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional experience in the cybersecurity field.
• Expertise in network routing, switching, troubleshooting, and virtual private networks (VPNs).
• Proficiency in cloud computing security architecture, including hybrid and multi-cloud systems.
• Knowledge of vulnerability scanning, application security, encryption, and identity and access management (IAM).
• Experience with incident response, security operations (SecOps), and risk management.
• Must be based in Lima, Peru.

Nice to have

• Certifications such as CISSP, CompTIA Security+, CCSP, or GIAC Security Essentials.
• Hands-on experience with SOC, EDR, and SIEM tooling.
• Experience advising C-suite executives on security strategy.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and integrating security into agile development.
• Knowledge of AI/ML in security, Zero Trust architecture, or secure remote access solutions.
