SRE Expert

Location: Milan, Italy (hybrid)

Annual base salary starting from: €48,000, plus variable remuneration aligned with role, business, group, and individual performance.

What you will do

• Define, track, and enforce SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets across development teams.
• Review software architectures with architects to ensure reliability, scalability, and security standards are met.
• Establish reliability quality gates in CI/CD pipelines before production deployment.
• Oversee incident post-mortems and ensure teams address identified bugs and architectural improvements.
• Design chaos-engineering scenarios and game days to validate system resilience.
• Analyze workflows, reduce operational toil, and guide teams toward automation.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in software engineering, SRE, or technical product management, with a strong understanding of the SDLC.
• Solid knowledge of distributed systems, microservices, and cloud-native patterns on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Expertise in SLOs, SLIs, error-budget policies, and continuous-improvement frameworks.
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and tracing tools and concepts, including Prometheus, Datadog, and OpenTelemetry.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence engineering practices and mentor developers without direct authority.

Nice to have

• Experience implementing ITIL, Agile, or DevOps practices at scale.
• Cloud architecture or Agile project management certification.
• Previous experience as a Tech Lead or Engineering Manager.
