Senior DevOps Engineer (GCP)

Senior DevOps Engineer (GCP/Kubernetes): Designing and maintaining scalable infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform and GKE with an accent on cloud orchestration, observability, and AI-driven automation. Location: Hybrid: Must be based in La Paz, Bolivia, with a requirement to work from the office 4 days per week

What you will do

• Architect and scale services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including GKE, Compute Engine, and VPC.
• Design and implement Kubernetes solutions for stateless and stateful services, managing advanced networking and deployments via Helm and Terraform.
• Implement observability using Prometheus, Grafana, and Open Telemetry to develop business-level metrics and proactive alerts.
• Manage production databases including MongoDB, Redis, and MySQL across cloud-native and on-premise environments.
• Develop IaC and CI/CD pipelines using Terraform, Ansible, and Jenkins.
• Integrate AI-driven tooling and AIOps practices, including MCP servers and AI agents, into DevOps workflows and deployment pipelines.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Strong expertise in GCP (GKE, Compute Engine, VPC, IAM) and advanced knowledge of Kubernetes.
• Experience with monitoring stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry) and managing production databases (MongoDB, Redis, MySQL).
• Proficiency with IaC tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Must provide documentation proving authorization to work in Bolivia and a Police Clearance Certificate.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

Nice to have

• Google Cloud Professional or CKAD certifications.
• Hands-on experience integrating LLMs or AI agents into CI/CD and observability workflows.
• Experience with service mesh technologies like Istio.
• Experience with AWS.
