Software Engineer, C++ (Computer Vision)

Location: Must be based in Vienna, Austria (office attendance 4+ days per week)

What you will do

• Design and support software systems and workflows for computer vision development on Spectacles.
• Develop production-quality C++ code and supporting infrastructure for CV pipelines and internal tools.
• Optimize the reliability and efficiency of CV development, validation, and calibration workflows, focusing on data capture.
• Build maintainable and performant code adhering to strict testing and operational standards.
• Collaborate with CV, platform, product, and infrastructure teams to implement research prototypes.
• Participate in code and design reviews to ensure high engineering quality.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering skills in C++ or a similar systems language.
• Experience building high-performance, maintainable software with unit and functional testing practices.
• Background in supporting data capture for computer vision, geometry, perception, or sensor workflows.
• Experience building tools, libraries, or pipelines to increase developer velocity and reliability.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent; 2+ years of professional software development experience.
• Must be based in Vienna, Austria and work from the office 4+ days per week.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of experience shipping high-performance software.
• Experience working with hardware, sensors, or resource-constrained devices.
• Expertise in designing reusable APIs and developer platforms.
