What you will do

• Develop and execute materials maturation plans for new AM processes and alloys.
• Operate AM machines and manage the onsite materials and powder characterization laboratory.
• Collaborate on the certification of AM components according to NASA and aerospace standards.
• Develop post-process heat treatment procedures and specifications.
• Troubleshoot and optimize AM processes for enhanced performance and reliability.
• Act as an onsite quality organization delegate.

Requirements

• Engineering degree in Materials Science, Metallurgy, Welding, or a related field.
• Experience with laser powder bed fusion and directed energy deposition.
• Strong knowledge of metallic material properties for aerospace propulsion.
• Nationality: Must be a national of Austria, Belgium, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK, Canada, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, or Slovakia.
• Experience in ISO 9001 or similar hardware manufacturing environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with materials modeling, including microstructure and property prediction.
• Proficiency in CAD and simulation software such as NX Suite or ANSYS.
• Knowledge of non-destructive testing (NDT) and statistical analysis tools.
