What you will do

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing in coordination with external providers.
• Coordinate work permit applications, visa renewals, and right-to-work documentation.
• Conduct new hire onboarding and induction programs to ensure smooth integration.
• Draft and maintain HR policies to ensure legal compliance and operational clarity.
• Provide first-line support on employee relations, including grievances and performance concerns.
• Lead the implementation and testing of new HR systems and AI tools.

Requirements

• Minimum 3-5 years of progressive HR experience in a generalist or operations role.
• Working knowledge of Maltese employment law and HR compliance.
• Proven track record of payroll management with high attention to detail.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).
• Experience with HRIS tools and payroll platforms.
• Ability to handle sensitive matters with maturity and discretion.

Nice to have

• Exposure to employee relations casework or partnering with HRBPs.
• Experience in high-growth, regulated environments like fintech or crypto.
• Familiarity with pay transparency legislation and compensation frameworks.
• Proficiency in Maltese.
