CloudOps Engineer

TL;DR

Location: Must be based in La Paz, Bolivia with a hybrid work arrangement (4 days per week in the La Paz office).

What you will do

• Manage, optimize, and scale cloud-based infrastructure across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Maintain and support CI/CD pipelines to streamline software deployments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues, including performance bottlenecks and system failures.
• Implement cloud security best practices and monitor resource usage for cost optimization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on cloud architecture and operational improvements.
• Utilize AI-assisted tools for incident triage, log analysis, and automation tasks.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure management, DevOps, or related roles.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible) and scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Must be authorized to work in Bolivia and provide a Police Clearance Certificate.
• Must be set up as an independent contractor (self-employed).
• Proficiency in written and spoken English is required.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with event-driven messaging technologies like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or CKA.
• Master’s Degree in Cloud Computing or Cybersecurity.
