What you will do
- Manage, coach, and mentor a team of technical artists to elevate craft and collaboration.
- Partner with Art Leadership, Production, and Engineering to define and implement tooling and pipeline requirements.
- Own and maintain artist-facing tools and workflows to ensure they are intuitive, documented, and scalable.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to evaluate technical solutions and balance production efficiency with long-term sustainability.
- Champion technical best practices and workflow consistency across multiple production streams.
- Communicate project constraints, risks, and opportunities to stakeholders to guide technical decision-making.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional experience as a Technical Artist in games, including 2+ years in a people management role.
- Strong proficiency in Python and experience developing scalable artist tools and content pipelines.
- Professional experience with Unreal Engine 5 and modern content creation workflows (Autodesk Maya, Substance Suite).
- Deep understanding of art production pipelines and ability to translate artistic requirements into technical solutions.
- Proven experience partnering with engineers to improve content creation efficiency.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to navigate ambiguity in a cross-functional environment.
Nice to have
- Experience designing scalable pipeline architecture for large content teams.
- Experience with UI development frameworks like PySide or PyQt.
- Familiarity with Houdini, Blender, ZBrush, or 3DS Max.
- Curiosity regarding AI-assisted workflows in content production.
