Director, Managed Business Services: Building and governing an outsourcing strategy for health insurance operations across contact center, business process, and configuration functions with an accent on vendor ecosystems, service governance, and compliance. Focus on designing operating models, leading RFP and contracting (MSAs/SOWs), and driving measurable ROI through SLAs, KPIs, and rigorous offshore/nearshore standards.
Location: Remote (open to candidates who reside in Dallas, Texas, United States)
Salary: $147,549 - $193,658 per year

What you will do
- Analyze and define which insurance operations functions should be outsourced vs retained internally.
- Design and execute an operating model for scalable outsourcing, risk mitigation, and delivery across a matrixed organization.
- Lead outsourcing transformation by shifting from transactional work to transformational outcomes based on marketplace trends.
- Own end-to-end vendor selection: RFP leadership, vendor vetting, onboarding, and ongoing governance.
- Partner with Procurement on Master Service Agreements (MSAs) and Statements of Work (SOWs), tracking value delivery and ROI.
- Establish and monitor SLAs and KPIs for financial accuracy, productivity, and member experience; lead operational response to vendor audits/data incidents.
Requirements
- Location: Must reside in Dallas, Texas, United States.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, or a relevant field.
- 10+ years in Insurance Operations.
- 8+ years working with teams in multiple locations and multiple disciplines; 8+ years coaching and developing cross-functional people and teams.
- 6+ years in LEAN, Six Sigma, or other improvement methodologies.
- 5+ years managing 3rd-party BPO/ITO relationships for major insurance operations functions, including procurement and negotiating BPO services.
