What you will do

  • Support materials selection and corrosion control studies for new designs and operating assets.
  • Assist with corrosion assessments, damage mechanism reviews, and root-cause failure investigations.
  • Contribute to asset integrity programs, including risk-based inspection and fitness-for-service evaluations.
  • Interpret results from materials testing, coatings, cathodic protection, and non-destructive examination.
  • Participate in site visits and inspections to gather field data and assess asset conditions.
  • Prepare technical calculations, reports, and specifications for client deliverables.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Materials, Metallurgical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Eligibility to register as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with a Canadian provincial regulator.
  • Solid grounding in materials science, corrosion fundamentals, and engineering principles.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to technical detail.
  • Willingness to travel to project and client sites, including industrial and remote locations.

Nice to have

  • Coursework or internship experience in corrosion, metallurgy, welding, or asset integrity.
  • Familiarity with codes and standards such as API 571/580, ASME, CSA, or AMPP/NACE.
  • Exposure to metals, mining, infrastructure, or energy sectors.
  • Proficiency with engineering software and data analysis tools.
