What you will do
- Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with government officials, policymakers, and regulatory bodies in Mexico.
- Oversee platform licensing at the state level for ride-hailing, couriers, intercity, and cargo verticals.
- Develop and implement a national government relations strategy, including OKRs and detailed action plans.
- Identify and assess regulatory risks and manage political crises to mitigate business impact.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Growth, Legal, Communications, Finance, Product) to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Advocate for a regulatory environment that enables the growth of technology platforms.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in government relations, public policy, or a related field.
- Must be based in Mexico City to support a hybrid work format.
- Degree in Law, Economics, Political Science, or International Affairs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Spanish and English.
- Proven track record in designing and executing public policy strategies and advocacy initiatives.
- Deep understanding of legislative, regulatory, and political processes in highly regulated industries.
Nice to have
- Prior experience in the ride-hailing or technology sectors.
- At least 3 years of experience in a tier-one multinational organization (in-house or consultant).
