QA Engineer (Mobile/Backend)

Location: Hybrid in Almaty, Kazakhstan

What you will do

• Build testing frameworks and migrate existing systems to new technologies.
• Design, maintain, and monitor QA tools and testing infrastructure, including alerting systems.
• Develop manual testing strategies, quality metrics, and test cases for internal and external testers.
• Track quality metrics in Tableau and automate routine workflows with Zapier, Jira Automation, and ChatGPT.
• Collaborate with TechOps, engineering, product, analytics, and other teams to improve testing workflows and quality management.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a QA Automation Engineer and 1+ year of mobile application testing experience.
• Experience testing Android and iOS applications, including emulators, traffic sniffing, and operating-system-specific scenarios.
• Proficiency with automated testing systems such as Appium, Kotlin, Java, and Selenium.
• Experience with API testing using tools such as Postman, database CRUD operations, and basic bash or zsh command-line tools.
• Understanding of client-server principles and experience with TestOps, Jira, Slack, Git, and GitHub.
• Strong collaboration skills and an engineering mindset focused on proactive quality improvement.
