What you will do

• Act as the primary local representative for Nscale, building relationships with local authorities, political stakeholders, and community leaders.
• Design and deliver a structured community engagement programme, including consultations and public briefings.
• Track and manage community concerns, enquiries, and complaints to ensure early risk escalation.
• Collaborate with internal teams and contractors to embed community considerations into project delivery.
• Develop and communicate the local economic impact of the project, including job creation and supply chain opportunities.
• Provide regular briefings and insights on the local political and community environment to senior leadership.

Requirements

• 3–8 years of experience in community engagement, public affairs, or local government.
• Must be based in Iceland and comfortable acting as the local face of the project.
• Strong understanding of local decision-making structures and community dynamics.
• Experience working on large-scale infrastructure, development, or construction projects is strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trust and represent the organization externally.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and operate effectively in politically sensitive environments.
