What you will do

• Teach and support users in advanced light microscopy from experimental design to image analysis and data management.
• Participate in scientific expeditions across Europe to provide on-site support to researchers.
• Manage daily lab operations, including maintenance, calibration, and procurement of supplies.
• Conduct and manage large-scale imaging screens and projects, including stakeholder engagement and milestone definition.
• Organize and teach international courses on advanced microscopy techniques.
• Develop new imaging workflows in collaboration with users and other hirify.global core facilities.

Requirements

• University degree in life sciences, physics, or engineering (PhD preferred).
• Solid experience in advanced light microscopy techniques.
• Practical knowledge of image acquisition automation and data handling.
• Fluency in English is compulsory.
• Strong communication, organizational skills, and ability to work in a team.

Nice to have

• Experience with biological sample preparation and its application to biological questions.
• Background working in a scientific core facility.
• Programming skills in Python, C++, Java, Matlab, or LabView.
• Knowledge of electron microscopy or flow cytometry.
• Experience in organizing and teaching training courses.
