What you will do

• Design and implement telephony-optimized speech recognition models for APAC languages including Mandarin, Thai, and Vietnamese.
• Develop AI training frameworks using PyTorch on local and cloud GPU infrastructure.
• Create data augmentation pipelines to handle 8kHz audio, codec artefacts, and background noise.
• Build scalable real-time and batch inference systems and integrate them with telephony APIs.
• Integrate speech capabilities with hirify.global's existing Llama 8B deployments.
• Contribute to open-source releases, technical documentation, and the broader speech recognition community.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with strong ML foundations.
• 1-3 years of hands-on experience in machine learning projects.
• Proficiency in Python and PyTorch for deep learning model training.
• Experience with cloud platforms, GPU computing, and Docker.
• Understanding of speech processing concepts and large dataset preprocessing.
• Must be based in Singapore, Hong Kong, or the Netherlands.

Nice to have

• Experience with OpenAI Whisper and transformer-based architectures.
• Portfolio of AI projects or open-source contributions.
• Familiarity with APAC language phonology or telephony audio characteristics.
• Publication history in speech recognition or related fields.
