Senior Node.js Developer (iGaming)

Location: Remote from Czechia, Serbia, Poland, Spain, Armenia, or Georgia

Develops a SaaS and iGaming networking platform for processing, transforming, and routing high volumes of HTTP and WebSocket traffic between clients and external services.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and optimize high-load networking core services for request processing, routing, load balancing, failover, and streaming delivery.
• Work with HTTP/1.1, HTTP/2, WebSocket, TLS, CONNECT tunneling, and compression technologies.
• Implement tracing, metrics, logging, dashboards, and alerts with OpenTelemetry and related observability tools.
• Maintain runtime integrations and compatibility layers for external web applications and third-party clients.
• Develop portable TypeScript code for Node.js and Bun, with modular architecture, tree-shaking, and no cyclic dependencies.
• Own projects end to end, from research and design through development, QA, documentation, deployment, and retrospectives.

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial experience with TypeScript and JavaScript, including strong Node.js expertise.
• Deep understanding of asynchronous programming, event loops, streams, error handling, and high-performance backend systems.
• Practical knowledge of HTTP, WebSocket, TLS, headers, caching, compression, and production network troubleshooting.
• Experience with modular architecture, dependency injection, type-safe contracts, SQL databases, ORM frameworks, migrations, indexes, and transactions.
• Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing, plus practical use of TDD.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, tracing, CI/CD pipelines, monorepos, and production performance optimization.

Nice to have

• Reverse engineering of minified or obfuscated JavaScript and analysis of third-party web applications.
• Network traffic analysis with HAR files and proxy tools, including HTTP/2 and WebSocket debugging.
• Browser instrumentation, runtime code injection, Service Workers, and SPA architectures.
• Cross-browser testing with Playwright and BrowserStack.
• Responsible and critical use of AI-assisted development tools.
