What you will do

• Create captivating matte paintings using raw painting, photo bashing, render bashing, and hybrid methods.
• Iterate on work based on team feedback to ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Manage tasks and timelines to ensure completion within designated deadlines.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in animation and matte painting.
• Collaborate with team members to identify and solve production issues effectively.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in creating high-quality digital matte paintings across various art styles.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Nuke.
• Strong grasp of art fundamentals including perspective, composition, color, value, and lighting.
• Must be based in Vancouver, BC for onsite work.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Maya, Houdini, and Zbrush.
• Understanding of 3D software and the 3D production pipeline.
