What you will do

• Assess and strengthen sub-regional and national food control systems and surveillance mechanisms.
• Develop and implement regulatory frameworks to enhance food safety and nutrition standards.
• Provide technical advisory services to government counterparts in Pacific Island countries.
• Plan and oversee project activities, including procurement and staffing requirements.
• Coordinate with regional offices and relevant stakeholders on One Health and environmental health initiatives.
• Prepare comprehensive technical reports on food system assessments and project progress.

Requirements

• Advanced University degree in Food Safety, Food Science, Nutrition, Public Health, or Agriculture from an institution recognized by the IAU/UNESCO.
• Familiarity with the Asian and Pacific context regarding food systems and public health.
• Proven ability to work with government counterparts and regional institutions.
• Strong negotiating skills, tact, and diplomacy.
