Business Intelligence Developer (Power BI)

Location: Sofia, Bulgaria — Hybrid

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, semantic models, datasets, and analytical solutions for Finance and business stakeholders.
• Analyze large transactional and player behavior datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and business opportunities.
• Develop SQL-based datasets, reporting structures, and analytical models supporting financial reporting, planning, forecasting, reconciliation, and ad hoc analysis.
• Gather requirements from Finance teams and translate business needs into scalable BI solutions.
• Ensure data quality through validation, monitoring, and reconciliation processes.
• Collaborate with BI colleagues, data engineers, and business stakeholders to improve reporting and analytics capabilities.

Requirements

• Experience as a BI Developer, Power BI Developer, or in a similar role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Power BI, dashboards, semantic models, and DAX.
• Advanced SQL skills and experience with large and complex datasets.
• Experience with relational databases such as MSSQL, MySQL, or similar systems.
• Experience translating business requirements into reporting and analytics solutions.
• Fluent English and excellent communication skills required.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting Finance, Controlling, FP&A, or similar functions.
• Experience with ETL processes and data warehousing.
• Experience with SSRS, SSIS, or SSAS.
• Knowledge of T-SQL, MDX, Python, or C#.
• Experience with high-volume transactional, gaming, e-commerce, fintech, or digital platform data.
