What you will do

• Design digital communication systems using SDR frameworks and FPGA platforms.
• Model DSP algorithms and implement them in RTL (Verilog/SystemVerilog) or in high-level languages (C/C++).
• Support the evolution of custom space-tailored radio platforms.
• Work with existing applications such as DVB-S2 transmitter, ADS-B receiver, AIS receiver, and M2M modem implementations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience developing signal processing algorithms for communication systems in Python, C/C++ (or Matlab), using floating-point and fixed-point design techniques.
• Experience migrating modeled algorithms to FPGA or SDR framework implementations.
• Strong understanding of RF concepts: AGC, noise figure, power amplifiers, phase noise, PLL, oscillators/mixers.
• Experience with SDR frameworks such as GNU Radio.
• Experience with Xilinx Zynq / Zynq UltraScale+ FPGAs and RF chipsets such as Analog Devices AD9361.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of coding theory and techniques such as LDPC and Turbo codes.
• Some experience with Python or other scripting languages.
