Focus on building a high-performing Dubai-based delivery unit, owning roadmap execution, and implementing microservices architecture.

Location: On-site in Dubai, UAE (5 days a week)

hirify.global is an AI-powered super app for home services operating across 10+ cities in the GCC.

What you will do

  • Build and grow the Dubai delivery team, managing backend engineers as direct reports.
  • Own roadmap execution and ensure predictable release cadences.
  • Set and maintain high bars for architecture, code reviews, and system reliability.
  • Mentor and develop engineers through structured 1:1s and feedback.
  • Collaborate with product management and leadership as the primary engineering voice in Dubai.
  • Drive the adoption of AI tools within the product and internal team workflows.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Java and MVC frameworks like Spring Boot.
  • Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful services.
  • Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization.
  • Proven track record of managing engineers and owning team delivery.
  • Location: Must be based in or able to work on-site five days a week in Dubai, UAE.

  • Experience in fast-growing startup environments.
  • Background in consumer apps, marketplaces, or service platforms.
  • Experience establishing an engineering presence in a new office.
