Intermediate Test Engineer (Hybrid Manual & Automation) (Java)

What you will do

• Plan, design, and execute manual test cases for backend and API functionality.
• Develop and maintain automated tests using Java-based frameworks (Rest Assured, JUnit, Maven).
• Perform API testing for backend services and integrations within Spring-based applications.
• Investigate defects and conduct root cause analysis in collaboration with developers.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and support sprint delivery activities.
• Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date test documentation.

Requirements

• 3+ years of manual testing experience with strong backend and API testing skills.
• Hands-on experience with Java-based test automation (Java, Rest Assured, JUnit, Maven).
• Solid understanding of test design techniques and requirements analysis.
• Experience using Git for version control and working in Agile teams.
• English: Upper-Intermediate (B2) level required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Playwright (Java) or Selenium.
• Experience with Cucumber for legacy API tests.
• Exposure to AWS environments.
• Software development background.
• Experience in the Point-of-Sale (POS) domain.
