Principal Engineer (AI & Central Command) (AI/smart manufacturing): Developing a factory digital brain, real-time analytics, and AI solutions for equipment, process, quality, output, and workforce management with an accent on self-learning systems, big-data lake integration, and image AI for machine control. Focus on building chatbot-driven decision analytics, deploying multi-layer AI architectures, and maintaining real-time data solutions for factory operations across all shifts.
Location: Seremban, Malaysia

operates a growing assembly and test site in Seremban that is becoming its largest backend factory, with a focus on smart manufacturing.
What you will do
- Lead the Command & Control pillar of the smart manufacturing program while influencing smart decision-making and automation.
- Develop AI solutions for equipment and process management, output management, quality management, and workforce skills and training.
- Build a self-learning factory digital brain combining chatbot, training partner, decision-maker, and smart machine process controller capabilities.
- Develop decision and smart analytics that enable engineers to query and analyze big-data lake data through a chatbot.
- Integrate image AI with machine control, improve connectivity, and support shop-floor automation.
- Deploy and monitor solutions, support real-time machine control across all shifts, train NexGem trainees, and contribute to investment and business-value discussions.
Requirements
- Graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 10–15 years of experience across data-related areas, including at least five years dedicated to AI.
- Proven ability to work with multicultural and multi-location teams.
- Demonstrated ability to ideate and develop unique data science solutions.
- Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or Data Science is advantageous.
- Experience with large projects involving supply chain management, factory scheduling, or big-data lake architectures is advantageous.
