Software Engineer - Assistant Vice President (Fullstack)

TL;DR

Software Engineer - Assistant Vice President (Ruby/React): Developing end-to-end features, enhancements, and defect resolutions for software platforms with an accent on fullstack development and relational database modeling. Focus on building robust backend services with Ruby on Rails and interactive frontends with React.

Location: Hybrid (Lisbon, Portugal). Must work in the office four days a week, with flexibility to work remotely on Fridays.

What you will do

• Develop backend features using Ruby 3.6.6 and Rails 6.x
• Build frontend interfaces with React and Redux
• Create unit and integration tests using RSpec, Cucumber, and Capybara
• Develop prototypes and Proof of Concepts (POCs)
• Participate in daily stand-ups and peer code reviews as part of the SDLC

Requirements

• 6+ years of Full Stack web-based application development experience
• 6+ years of experience with React and Ruby on Rails (Python or Elixir may be considered as substitutes)
• Fluency in English and Portuguese (written and verbal)
• Degree in Software Engineering
• Strong understanding of relational database concepts and modeling practices
