Location: Office based in Addis Ababa; Open for Ethiopian nationals

What you will do
- Support programme development, planning, and monitoring for child protection initiatives.
- Coordinate the Spotlight Initiative Africa Regional Program 2.0 (SIARP 2.0) activities.
- Facilitate concrete solutions for continental and international efforts to protect children's rights and wellbeing.
- Build strategic networks and partnerships, specifically with the African Union (AU) organs and entities.
- Provide technical and operational support for the delivery of program results.
- Lead innovation, knowledge management, and capacity building in the field of child protection.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in development, peace and conflict, economics, psychology, sociology, or a relevant technical field.
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience in child protection, human rights, or related social sciences.
- Deep understanding of children’s rights, violence against children (VAC), and gender-based violence (VAWG).
- Proven experience working with African Union mechanisms and organs.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Ability to handle sensitive data ethically and work effectively in multi-cultural environments.
Nice to have
- Experience working within a UN system agency or organization.
- Familiarity with continental organizations.
- Knowledge of another official UN language or a local language of the duty station.
