What you will do

• Operate and improve Kubernetes-based cloud platforms supporting critical healthcare software.
• Monitor system health and performance to ensure high availability and reliability of production environments.
• Develop, test, and review code to enhance platform stability and the developer experience.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and Scrum Masters within an Agile framework to deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Manage production workloads on Kubernetes, including deployment, troubleshooting, and upgrade management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) or a similar role.
• 3+ years of experience with AWS cloud technologies and Linux.
• Proficiency in Go (Golang), including test-driven development practices.
• Experience creating custom Kubernetes Operators and managing production workloads.
• Strong experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Must be based in or able to work in Galway, Ireland (Hybrid).

Nice to have

• Experience with self-managed Kubernetes clusters in non-managed cloud environments.
• Knowledge of Helm, Flux, Istio, and Terratest.
• Experience with GitHub Actions and GitOps deployment practices.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes Cluster API, Bottlerocket OS, and building custom AWS AMIs.
