TL;DR
Senior Application Security Engineer (Mobile Apps) (iOS/Android, API Security): Raising the security bar across mobile and backend platforms with an accent on authentication, secure data storage, runtime protections, and threat modelling. Focus on reviewing mobile and backend systems, mitigating business logic vulnerabilities, and embedding security controls into the development lifecycle.

Location: Stockholm, Stockholm County, Sweden (Hybrid)

What you will do

  • Identify, design, and implement security controls across mobile and backend development.
  • Review iOS and Android application security, including authentication, authorization, secure data storage, and runtime protections.
  • Strengthen API security through OAuth, token-based authentication, abuse prevention, and rate limiting.
  • Identify and mitigate business logic vulnerabilities in mobile and backend systems.
  • Conduct threat modelling, design reviews, and hands-on security assessments throughout the Secure SDLC.
  • Partner with product managers and mobile/backend engineers to integrate security into daily development.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Application Security Engineer, Product Security Engineer, or Mobile Engineer focused on application security.
  • Strong understanding of mobile-to-API interaction patterns and common attack vectors in modern mobile applications.
  • Hands-on, pragmatic approach to working with engineering teams.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid setup in Stockholm, Sweden.

Nice to have

  • Experience with React Native internals.
