TL;DR

Principal Engineer – Client Platform (React Native): Building and optimizing core platform capabilities for a large-scale mobile app ecosystem with an accent on scalability, tooling, and architecture. Focus on improving developer experience, CI/CD pipelines, and native iOS/Android integrations.

Location: Hybrid in Milan, Italy (3 days onsite)

A global fintech company focused on scalable mobile platform architecture.

What you will do

  • Own and evolve core components of the React Native client platform.
  • Lead large-scale technical initiatives across mobile platform and frontend infrastructure.
  • Improve tooling, CI/CD, app architecture, and scalability to enhance developer experience.
  • Work closely with JavaScript/TypeScript and native iOS/Android integrations.
  • Mentor engineers and drive technical best practices across teams.

Requirements

  • Strong expertise in React Native and its internals.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • Experience with frontend build tooling such as Babel, Metro, or Webpack.
  • Proven track record with CI/CD pipelines and experience with large-scale mobile applications.
  • Fundamental knowledge of AWS.
  • Must be based in Milan, Italy for a hybrid work arrangement (3 days onsite).

Nice to have

  • Exposure to Node.js and Express.
