TL;DR

Photographer/Editor (Photojournalism): Shooting and editing lifestyle, entertainment, and feature stories for NBC6 South Florida, including VO’s, VO/sots, reporter packages, and anchor packages with an accent on accuracy and creative storytelling. Focus on operating camera and editing workflows in Adobe Premiere while coordinating visual elements for broadcast and online delivery.

Location: Must be willing to work at the station in Miramar/Miami locations; must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.

What you will do

• Shoot and edit high-quality, national-level content for television and online.
• Enhance storytelling using compelling images, natural sound, and engaging graphics.
• Collaborate with reporters and producers to ensure accurate and creative story coverage.
• Operate camera and edit using Adobe Premiere for live events.
• Coordinate and organize visual elements needed for editing.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience shooting and live remotes in a broadcast station.
• Minimum 2 years of non-linear editing experience, preferably Adobe Premiere and Edius.
• Ability to lift and carry camera equipment (25–50 lbs.) for extended periods; able to work in studio and on remote locations.
• Willingness to travel, work overtime, and work weekends with short notice; ability to work any schedule within a 24x7 shift.
• Must be willing to work at the station in Miramar/Miami locations; must have a valid Florida driver’s license (Class D).
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States and be 18 years or older; able to work during extreme weather situations (hurricanes, flooding, etc.).

Nice to have

• Bilingual (English and Spanish) command.
• Trade school or equivalent.
• Strong interpersonal skills and great decision-making under fast-paced, high-pressure deadlines.
• Knowledge of communication tools (email, cell phone, messaging tools) to stay connected.
