Location: Novi Sad, Belgrade, Sarajevo, or remote (EMEA)

What you will do

  • Lead, inspire, and manage the VFX team to create performant visual effects in Unreal Engine.
  • Oversee visual effects development for gameplay, cinematics, and UI to ensure player immersion.
  • Set and maintain an effective production pipeline, team assignments, and workload.
  • Take full ownership and responsibility for the quality and output of the VFX team.
  • Collaborate closely with Art Directors and cross-discipline teams.
  • Identify opportunities to continuously improve the quality bar for all visual effects.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience as a VFX Artist and at least 1 year as a Lead on a AAA game.
  • Deep technical and artistic understanding of Unreal Engine, focusing on particles and materials.
  • Proven track record of shipping at least one completed game.
  • Strong leadership ability to manage, mentor, and develop a team.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must be based in the EMEA region for remote candidates.

Nice to have

  • Proficiency in 3D software such as 3DS Max, Maya, or Blender.
  • Experience with simulation or procedural generation software (Houdini, FumeFX, EmberGen).
  • Skills in 2D animation, video editing, lighting, or post-processing.
  • Prior experience in other game art roles (2D, 3D, animation, UI).
