TL;DR

Data Center Technical Support Technician (IT Infrastructure): Providing on-site technical support and physical maintenance for servers, network equipment, and storage systems in data centers with an accent on hardware replacement and cabling. Location: Must be based in Lisbon or Porto (On-site)

Salary: 150€ - 250€ / day

What you will do

  • Perform on-site interventions and hardware replacements, including HDDs, SSDs, memory modules, and power supplies.
  • Install, relocate, and configure IT equipment such as servers, storage arrays, switches, and firewalls.
  • Manage rack installation, cable patching (copper and fiber optic), and equipment labeling.
  • Conduct visual inspections of equipment status indicators, alarms, and environmental conditions.
  • Provide remote assistance to infrastructure teams and coordinate with external OEM vendors.
  • Maintain accurate asset inventories and provide detailed intervention reports.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in Data Center, Infrastructure, or IT Operations environments.
  • Practical experience with enterprise server platforms (Dell, HPE, Lenovo, Cisco).
  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts, including switching, routing, VLANs, and structured cabling.
  • Fluent Portuguese and B2 English proficiency are required.
  • Ability to follow technical documentation and execute procedures with high accuracy.
  • Flexibility to support activities outside of standard business hours.

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting Tier III or Tier IV data centers.
  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or CCNA.
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and service management practices.
  • Experience in mission-critical or high-availability environments.
