TL;DR

Lead Frontend Developer (TypeScript/React/Vue): Leading the frontend architecture and delivery for a European payment platform with an accent on AI-native development and secure transactional systems. Focus on orchestrating AI-generated code, optimizing performance for merchant-facing products, and ensuring PCI DSS compliance.

Location: Hybrid (Skanderborg, Denmark). Candidates must hold a valid work permit for Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark, the UK, or Germany.

What you will do

  • Take full ownership of the OnPay frontend architecture, code quality, performance, and accessibility.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers on planning, scoping, and AI-assisted prototyping.
  • Implement an AI-native delivery model using agentic tooling (Claude Code, Devin, etc.) for coding and reviews.
  • Set frontend technical standards and patterns in cooperation with the Architect and Tech Lead.
  • Ensure strict adherence to PCI DSS Level 1 requirements for secure transaction processing.
  • Mentor the team and act as a frontend reference point for other company units.

Requirements

  • 5-7+ years of experience in frontend development with a track record of leadership in product teams.
  • Proficiency in modern frontend stacks (TypeScript, React, Vue, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience using AI-native agentic coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Devin, Copilot) in real production work.
  • Domain expertise in payments, fintech, e-commerce, or other regulated transactional industries.
  • Valid work permit for Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark, the UK, or Germany.
  • Proficiency in English.

Nice to have

  • PCI DSS or compliance-heavy frontend experience.
  • Experience leading frontend transformations in tooling, process, or team structure.
  • Experience building design systems used across multiple brands.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Danish.
