What you will do

• Lead the preparation of SORA-based applications, including ConOps drafting and ground risk calculations.
• Develop, implement, and maintain internal Flight Safety Procedures and the Operations Manual for LBA certification.
• Monitor EASA (EU) 2019/947, JARUS outputs, and national aviation regulations to ensure compliance.
• Manage the central register for remote pilots and test crew, tracking licenses, medicals, and type ratings.
• Administer the safety reporting system and track incident investigations to closure.
• Coordinate Military Permits to Fly and manage NOTAMs and exclusion zones for flight test campaigns.

Requirements

• Degree in aerospace engineering, aviation management, aviation safety, or a related technical field.
• 3–5 years of experience in aviation safety, flight operations, UAS operations, or regulatory compliance.
• Working knowledge of EASA Regulation (EU) 2019/947 and the SORA methodology.
• Experience with aviation documentation systems, such as operations manuals and flight logs.
• Familiarity with Safety Management System (SMS) principles.
• English: Business-fluent (C1) required.

Nice to have

• Direct experience with SORA-based operational authorisation applications for European NAAs.
• Previous collaboration with the LBA or other National Aviation Authorities.
• Internal auditor training or experience (ISO 9001, AS9100).
• Familiarity with EASA Part 21 concepts and type certification processes.
• Experience in military aviation environments or defence procurement processes.
• German language proficiency.
