What you will do

  • Produce original video content covering Tokyo's culture, events, and local trends.
  • Lead the end-to-end creation of social-first videos from ideation and filming to publication.
  • Optimize content specifically for TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube platforms.
  • Analyze performance metrics to refine creative strategies and improve engagement.
  • Act as an on-camera presenter and conduct interviews for audience-focused storytelling.
  • Collaborate with editorial, social media, and commercial teams to scale audience growth.

Requirements

  • Native-level Japanese and fluent English proficiency.
  • Proven experience in professional scripted and unscripted video production with a supporting portfolio.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Film, Design, Communication, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in creating content for TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
  • Must be based in Tokyo, Japan to support the hybrid office model.
  • Comfortable appearing on camera and writing engaging video scripts.

Nice to have

  • Advanced proficiency in Premiere Pro, Capcut, Photoshop, and After Effects.
  • Experience with Sony Alpha series, GoPro, and iPhone cinematography.
  • Skills in motion graphics, basic color correction, and sound design.
  • Knowledge of digital workflows, codecs, and various image resolutions.
