🚢 VACANCY: Senior Ship Operator
About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Ship Operator to join our Operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of assigned vessels, ensuring smooth voyage execution, effective communication with stakeholders, and compliance with charter party requirements.
This role requires strong organizational skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to coordinate multiple activities while maintaining high operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage day-to-day vessel operations and maintain effective communication with Masters, Charterers, Ship Owners, agents, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure proper voyage execution by providing clear instructions to Masters and communicating fixture, voyage, and operational requirements.
• Appoint and coordinate port agents, obtain and compare quotations, monitor port costs, and maintain accurate PDA and D/A records.
• Ensure timely funding of port expenses, review final Disbursement Accounts, and arrange refunds of overpaid amounts where applicable.
• Coordinate P&I cargo claims by collecting relevant information and supporting claims handling activities.
• Stay informed on cargo suitability and operational requirements for assigned vessels.
• Prepare and verify freight, hire, off-hire, demurrage, despatch, and deadfreight calculations, maintaining supporting documentation and records.
• Maintain and monitor Fixture Recaps, Fixture Notes, Charter Parties, and other operational documentation.
• Review Bills of Lading, ensure compliance with Charterers' instructions, and provide signing instructions to Masters and agents.
• Monitor vessel operational capabilities, cargo plans, readiness, position, and ETA, and communicate relevant updates to Charterers.
• Monitor bunker status, coordinate bunker requirements with Masters and the Bunker Department, and maintain daily bunker consumption and balance records.
• Prepare underperformance claims based on vessel speed and bunker consumption analysis and support voyage optimization in accordance with Chartering Department instructions.
• Perform additional duties, calculations, analyses, and reporting as required by management.

Requirements:
• University Degree in Shipping/Economics/Business fields
• 3 years experience in Transportation/Logistics/Business filed
• Familiarity with shipping industry practices.
• Good level of communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
