HR Advisor IV (HR Compliance): Providing HR best practice guidance and compliance support to US-based small and medium-sized businesses with an accent on employee relations and regulatory compliance. Focus on translating complex federal and state employment laws into actionable recommendations and mentoring internal teams.
Location: Remote (Must be based in the United States)

What you will do
- Provide HR compliance and best-practice guidance to U.S.-based small and medium-sized businesses via phone and written communication.
- Research federal, state, and local employment regulations to ensure accurate and practical guidance.
- Act as a senior HR resource for clients and internal team members, providing formal and informal mentoring.
- Contribute to the development of compliance resources, including articles, guides, webinars, and educational content.
- Identify and lead improvements for workflows, processes, and service delivery models.
- Proactively manage client escalations while maintaining positive customer relationships.
Requirements
- 8+ years of progressive Human Resources experience in in-house Generalist/BP roles or external advisory/PEO environments.
- Advanced knowledge of U.S. employment laws (Wage and Hour, Leave Administration, Anti-Discrimination).
- Active HRCI or SHRM certification required.
- Strong consultative and customer-facing communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and Slack.
- Must be located in the United States.
Nice to have
- SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification.
- Previous experience in leadership roles such as HR Manager, Senior HR Manager, or HR Director.
- Experience delivering HR training, presentations, or speaking engagements.
- Knowledge of employment-related healthcare legislation.
