Senior CI/CD Engineer

This position will be remote during the initial 6 month contract and will change to an onsite role once it converts to a permanent position.
Capstone IT is helping our client to find a Senior CI/CD Engineer who will design, build, and modernize CI/CD pipelines and environments. This person will act as a senior technical contributor, working closely with platform, development, and operations teams to improve delivery processes, scalability, and automation while shaping future CI/CD strategy. - Cloud platforms (Azure or GCP)

Responsibilities
- Design and modernize CI/CD pipelines and environments
- Evaluate and improve existing delivery processes
- Lead Jenkins architecture and automation strategy
- Collaborate with engineering teams on solutions
- Troubleshoot pipeline and deployment issues
- Improve performance, security, and reliability

Qualifications
- 4–6+ years CI/CD or DevOps experience
- Strong Jenkins expertise
- Experience with Azure or GCP
- Knowledge of SDLC and automation practices
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Preferred: Kubernetes, Terraform, scripting, Git workflows
The right person is a senior CI/CD engineer who can walk into a complex environment, understand how delivery currently works, identify improvement opportunities, and help design practical solutions. They should be comfortable in collaborative working sessions, able to challenge assumptions respectfully, and experienced enough to help guide teams through CI/CD modernization efforts.
