What you will do
- Lead and coordinate HIS, digital health, and data strengthening activities at the regional level in collaboration with Regional Health Bureaus.
- Support implementation of DHIS2 data management, eCHIS, and Dagu (desktop and mobile) reporting systems.
- Build capacity and provide hands-on mentoring to regional and district health teams in HIS management and data use.
- Ensure alignment with national HIS and digital health initiatives and strengthen regional-national feedback mechanisms.
- Provide technical assistance for provincial data review meetings and reporting processes.
- Implement data quality reviews, validation processes, and monitor corrective action plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Health Informatics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of progressive experience in digital health systems, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior technical leadership role.
- Strong understanding of national health systems, data use ecosystems, and digital governance structures.
- Proven ability to work effectively in decentralized health systems and support ownership transition to government counterparts.
- Must be resident in the Somali Region.
