What you will do

• Collaborate with audio designers to design the technical approach for achieving the game's artistic vision.
• Integrate audio systems with Gameplay, AI, and Optimization engineers while adhering to performance budgets.
• Profile and optimize audio usage to ensure high quality with minimal CPU and memory overhead.
• Deliver high-performance, well-documented code and integrate platform-specific plugins.
• Plan and detail environment requirements to ensure optimal audio presentation.
• Utilize source control and bug reporting software within a team environment.

Requirements

• Professional experience as an Audio Engineer in game development.
• Strong proficiency in C++ and Unreal Engine.
• Deep knowledge of Unreal Engine’s audio system and middleware such as Wwise, FMOD, or Unreal Audio Engine.
• Experience with profiling and debugging tools.
• Must be based in Ireland.

Nice to have

• Experience with Wwise motion or the Wwise authoring API (WAAPI).
• Ability to design and implement solid APIs.
• Hands-on experience with rendering, graphics, or tool creation.
• Knowledge of C#, Python, or Groovy.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
