Backend Engineer (Go)

TL;DR

Backend Engineer (Go): Building the next generation of a high-scale web scraping platform with an accent on high-load product endpoints and distributed systems. Focus on migrating core components from Node.js/TypeScript to Go and integrating AI coding tools into the production workflow.

Location: Hybrid (3 office days / 2 WFH) in Vilnius, Lithuania; WFA options available.

What you will do

• Design and build new backend services and product endpoints using a Go-first approach.
• Maintain and evolve the existing Node.js/TypeScript core while transitioning components to Go.
• Write clear, tested, and documented code that delivers direct business value.
• Collaborate with other engineers to shape system architecture and perform peer code reviews.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend development experience in any language.
• Hands-on experience with Go or a genuine drive to build with it.
• Strong grasp of distributed systems and building for massive scale.
• Proficiency in using AI coding tools (Claude, Copilot, Cursor, etc.) as part of the daily workflow.
• Solid English and Lithuanian language knowledge.
• Ability to work from the Vilnius office under a hybrid model.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with React and JavaScript to understand backend logic visualization.
• Experience using Docker and Kubernetes for deployment and orchestration.
• Experience leading R&D initiatives or introducing new AI tools to a team.
