TL;DR

HR Manager (Manufacturing): Managing end-to-end site-level HR operations including talent acquisition, workforce planning, and organization design with an accent on partnering with site leadership to drive talent priorities. Focus on aligning organizational structure with business needs, overseeing employee relations, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and security regulations.

Location: Onsite in Melbourne, AU. Must be an Australian citizen and eligible for security clearance.

What you will do

  • Partner with site leadership to shape talent priorities and align HR activities with business strategy.
  • Oversee site-level HR operations, including talent acquisition, payroll, and benefits management.
  • Facilitate organization design and workforce planning to ensure optimal structure and capability.
  • Lead annual HR cycles such as talent reviews, succession planning, and salary processes.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations, conduct investigations, and coach leaders on performance management.
  • Analyze HR metrics to derive actionable insights on turnover, demographics, and time-to-fill.

Requirements

  • Tertiary degree in HR and/or Business.
  • 5+ years of experience in similar HR leadership roles.
  • Proven expertise in talent acquisition, workforce planning, and employee relations.
  • Experience working with HRIS systems.
  • Australian citizenship and eligibility to obtain/maintain required security clearance.
  • Ability to access information controlled under US International Traffic of Arms Regulation (ITAR).

Nice to have

  • Professional HR Certification.
  • Experience in the defence and manufacturing industries.
  • Strategic Workforce Planning experience.
  • Proficiency with Workday HRIS.
