Location: Must be based in Maseru, Lesotho. Candidates authorized to work in Lesotho will be given priority; no visa sponsorship provided.

What you will do

• Collaborate with the Deputy Prime Minister's office and Department of Energy to research and implement clean cooking and space heating transition models.
• Coordinate countrywide advocacy campaigns and liaise with private sector partners for promotional exhibitions.
• Support the Ministry of Energy in drafting a national clean cooking and space heating strategy.
• Lead data collection, analysis, and maintenance of a national database for energy initiatives.
• Develop policy briefs, reports, and training materials focused on energy access and efficiency standards.
• Integrate gender, inclusion, and environmental standards into program design and advocacy.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in the energy sector.
• Bachelor’s degree in sociology, social sciences, statistics, demography, or related field with a focus on gender studies.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing energy access strategies and projects.
• Solid background in market-based approaches for clean cooking and space heating.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English required.
• Must be authorized to work in Lesotho.

• Specific experience working in Lesotho.
• Knowledge of Sesotho language.
