What you will do

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of high-quality, scalable backend services.
• Build and maintain backend services, APIs, and integrations using Python and AWS.
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers and conduct rigorous code reviews to ensure engineering excellence.
• Own complex features from concept through release, ensuring adherence to SDLC standards and architectural guidelines.
• Collaborate with Technical Leads and product teams to resolve technical challenges and unblock the team.
• Drive continuous improvement across system design and internal development practices.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in software development.
• Proficiency in Python and experience building backend services and REST APIs.
• Experience with AWS services including Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, and SQS.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming and serverless architecture.
• English: Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
• Location: Must be based in or able to work hybrid in Cebu City, Philippines.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with SOAP integrations.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and Scrum.
