What you will do

• Develop efficient, performant, and scalable client code following high quality standards.
• Manage software security using SCA, including triaging, prioritization, and remediation.
• Gather requirements and maintain technical documentation for the team.
• Collaborate with designers and managers to solve user pain points and iterate on solutions.
• Take full ownership of projects from technical design to successful launch.
• Perform code reviews to ensure consistency and maintain code quality.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience with Python, REST API, and SQL.
• Proficiency with Git (GitHub, GitLab) and unit testing with Pytest.
• Intermediate design proficiency using UML, C4, or ArchiMate.
• Experience engineering medium-to-large scale software systems.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and relational databases.
• Must be based in Costa Rica.

Nice to have

• Experience with Flask or other Python web frameworks.
• Knowledge of Apache Airflow or other workflow orchestration platforms.
• Experience with SCA platforms like Snyk or Checkmarx.
• Familiarity with AI coding agents (Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor).
