What you will do

• Design and maintain Java backend services for product platforms and customer projects.
• Build asynchronous, event-driven architectures using RabbitMQ.
• Implement business logic and domain models in collaboration with domain experts.
• Analyze and resolve bugs to improve service stability.
• Develop and maintain automated unit and integration tests.
• Support operational tasks including monitoring, deployment, and quality assurance.

Requirements

• Enrolled student in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
• At least 12 months remaining in studies.
• Must live in Braunschweig or the surrounding area and be able to work in the office.
• Hands-on experience with Java through projects or internships.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
• Understanding of web fundamentals, HTTP, and backend design patterns.

Nice to have

• Experience with RabbitMQ, Python, Docker, or GitLab CI.
• Familiarity with frontend technologies like React or Next.js.
• Interest in space or aerospace engineering.
• German language skills at B2 level.
