Senior Security Engineer

TL;DR

Senior Security Engineer (Security Engineering): Strengthening overall security posture by owning and executing security initiatives, embedding security best practices across the development lifecycle, and leading compliance and security controls. What you will do

• Own and drive multiple security initiatives end-to-end, ensuring proper integration, documentation, and alignment with security goals.
• Collaborate with leadership on the security team roadmap and mentor junior security engineers.
• Embed security best practices across engineering, IT, and product processes, including operational security.
• Lead continuous improvement in security engineering via process reviews, automation, and standardization.
• Lead the PCI-DSS compliance initiative and maintain security controls across systems, networks, and cloud environments.
• Contribute to threat modeling, risk assessments, and incident response; develop and refine internal security policies, standards, and tools.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on security engineering experience implementing and managing security solutions.
• Solid understanding of security principles, vulnerabilities, and common attack techniques.
• Proficiency with Python, especially writing Lambda functions.
• Production experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD tooling and secure deployment practices.
• Very good knowledge of cloud platforms: AWS or Google Cloud.

Nice to have

• Experience with PCI-DSS.
• Experience with application security, DLP platforms, and observability.
